The new $3 million Fendalton Library and Service Centre will be officially opened on Monday 3 July.

The Christchurch City Council building is due to be finished – on the site of the old service centre in Jeffreys Road – by the end of May. The old library in Clyde Road will close on 10 June and the shift to the new building will take place from 10-30 June.

The temporary service centre, in an adjacent park, will close on 30 June and staff will move into the new building on 1-2 July ready for the 3 July opening at 9am.

Events will be held in the first week of opening.
