Jobs Taskforce To Sign With Govt

The Mayors' Taskforce for Jobs, initiated by Christchurch's Garry Moore, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday 12 September at 6.45pm at the Beehive, Wellington.

The Taskforce attracted more than 30 of the country's mayors to an initial meeting and later 14 formed a core group to activate its aims.

The mayors will join Jim Anderton, the Minister of Economic Development and Steve Maharey, the Minister of Employment, for the signing.
