Charleston To Consider Its Future
Action is being taken to revitalise the suburb of Charleston.
A Neighbourhood Plan has been suggested as a good way of bringing together ideas to guide the Christchurch City Council and community towards what is needed for the area.
The boundaries of the Charleston Neighbourhood Plan are Ferry Road to the north, Ensors Road to the east, the railway land to the south, and Wilsons Road to the west.
To start the ball rolling, the Council would like to produce a Special Edition of Our Environment for Charleston, outlining the issues and informing residents and property owners of projects that have been suggested or submissions made to Council over the past few years, and where they’ve got to.
It will also discuss initiatives and possibilities that could be included in the Neighbourhood Plan.
The Council wants to hear from people who would like to know more about Charleston, or anyone who wants to present a relevant issue and would like it included in Our Environment.
