400 Visitors in Two Days at Central City Photo Exhibition
The Central City Fresh Perspectives Photography Exhibition opened its doors to the public for the first time on Saturday morning and had about 400 people in to view the images over the weekend.
The exhibition is of the winning professional portfolio and, winning and finalist amateur images from the competition of the same name - initiated by the Central City Mayoral Forum in association with Christchurch City Council, and partnered by Christchurch and Canterbury Marketing Ltd and the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography. The exhibition sits alongside the NZIPP's Touring Print (an exhibition of the top prints from the Institute's annual print judging competition).
People's prize - visitors to the exhibition are invited to vote for their favourite image from the amateur section and be put into a prize draw for a print by Johannes van Kan (one of Christchurch's leading photographers and a gold award winner in this year's NZIPP's Touring Print).
