Diverse initiatives came out of this month's meeting, with a variety of events being funded for Neighbourhood Week, which runs from March 1-7.

"The level of support which we're seeing this year is really encouraging," said Councillor Sue Wells, who was behind the initiative which began last year.

"There are some major community events which boards are putting money into, but also a continued focus on making sure that small scale neighbourhood parties and gatherings are fostered."
