Best book bargains of the century
Canterbury Public Library will hold its legendary book sale for the 14th year running on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 June at the Christchurch Convention Centre.
Organised by the library as part of the Books & Beyond festival, the sale will offer a huge selection of books, for both adults and children, at bargain prices.
Books covering popular topics like cookery, gardening, sport and travel will be up for grabs, as well as a wide range of novels including romance, mysteries and westerns. And for children there will be plenty of choice including picture books, stories and information books.
"The book sale is a great opportunity to stock up on reading material," said Sasha Bowers, the library's Promotions & Publications Co-ordinator. "It's also a rare chance to pick up those out-of-print titles which you won't find elsewhere."
The sale will open on Thursday 3 June from 9.00am - 9.00pm and Friday 4 June from 9.00am - 3.00pm.
