Popular television personality Jason Gunn will host TV2 KidsFestís spectacular opening extravaganza, "Planet K", on Saturday 26 June in the James Hay Theatre.

Jason invites children to join him as he touches down on Planet K, searching for the source of the universal message of friendship. The show will feature plenty of high-energy music, funky lighting and performances from a galaxy of talented Christchurch children. Thereíll also be lots of intergalactic giveaways too!

As the opening event of New Zealand's biggest children's festival has been so popular in the past, two shows are scheduled (at 11am and 2pm). Tickets for Planet K cost just $4 and are available through Ticketek from Saturday 12 June. Bookings are recommended. The show is suitable for 5 to 12 year olds and runs for approximately 55 minutes.
