Press Lunchtime Concert

featuring I & I Pacific Reggae

12pm to 1.30pm, Friday 29 January 1999, Cathedral Square

 

Original reggae with a distinctive Pacific flavour will feature in the SummerTimes festival’s Press Lunchtime Concert on Friday 29 January from 12pm to 1.30pm.

 

I and I Pacific Reggae have been together for twelve years. They describe their music as ‘roots, funk and African reggae’. The band have performed at many festivals and supported the likes of UB40 in the South Island and Toots & the Maytals in Sydney.

 

Last year they released their first album in New Zealand, Australia and throughout the Pacific. I & I Pacific Reggae are: John Tuala (guitar, lead vocals), Ene Gafoi (drums, backing vocals), Max (bass, backing vocals) and Fuivai (keyboards, backing vocals).
