The SummerTimes festival’s Press Lunchtime Concert Series continues with a performance by the immensely popular New Zealand Army Band on Friday 22 January from 12pm to 1.30pm.

The New Zealand Army Band always attracts large and enthusiastic audiences to their public performances. The band has earned international recognition as one of the finest marching bands in the world and has taken part in many historical events both in New Zealand and overseas.

The 28-piece band is one of the country’s most diverse musical entertainment establishments. Their sound is based on a traditional brass band, but supplemented with a full rhythm section and vocalists, enabling it to perform a wide variety of musical styles.
