New Brighton School involved in traffic safety promotion

As part of "Kidsafe Week" the City Council and ACC are supplying pedestrian flags free of charge to over 40 primary schools in an effort to improve child safety on the roads.

A presentation at Central New Brighton School will help promote child safety on the roads, says Safe Routes to School Co-ordinator Paul Cottam.

"One of the functions of Kidsafe Week is to help increase child safety at school patrols and supervised traffic crossings by enhancing their visibility. Motorists can also play their part by taking care around schools."

When? Monday August 16, 8:15 am

In attendance: Paul Cottam, Keith Permain (ACC), Brian Thompson (New Brighton School Principal.) St John ambulance and police vehicles will also be in attendance
