Mr Moon acts the fool during SummerTimes.

Well known Christchurch entertainer, the Amazing Mr Moon will literally act the fool during the SummerTimes festival’s season of outdoor theatre in mid-January.

Mr Moon (aka John Davey) will take on the role of Touchstone the fool in the popular Shakespeare comedy, As You Like It. Mr Moon is perhaps best known throughout the city as a highly skilled and colourful entertainer and juggler. He is much in demand for conferences and seminars throughout the country, utilising a unique array of skills from Penny Farthing riding and magic to public speaking.

His role in As You Like It marks his first foray into ‘serious’ acting, something he is very much looking forward to. “It’s an awesome opportunity,” says John Davey. “The part of Touchstone gives me the chance to play one of the most high spirited rogues I’ve ever been!”
