Mayor's Statement - In the Park 2000

New Year's Eve 1999 is a once-in-a-millennium chance to celebrate our city and showcase Christchurch on the global stage.

In the Park 2000 gives us a superb line-up for our celebration and also the chance to show off a city where everyone gets included in the action.

This very special occasion, as well as being great fun, will reflect the character of Christchurch as a positive, safe and magnificently multicultural city.
