Friday Lunchtime Concert Series

The Christchurch City Council proudly presents the following artists in

upcoming free concerts in Victoria Square.

Beau

Friday 19 March, 12.00pm to 1.00pm, Victoria Square

 

Beau Fitzí Kaa will entertain lunchtime audiences in Victoria Square on Friday 19 March from 12pm to 1pm.

 

Beau has a passion for performing music which he enjoys sharing with his audience. He has been entertaining for nearly 20 years and has an enormous repertoire of well known songs to draw upon. Beau also includes impressions of great artists in his show.

 

Beau has worked with the likes of Prince Tui Teka, Herbs and Temuera Morrison, and last year was a finalist on TVNZ’s ‘Showcase’.

Zed

Friday 26 March, 12.00pm to 1.00pm, Victoria Square

 

Much talked about teenage band Zed will perform in Victoria Square at lunchtime on Friday 26 March as part of the Christchurch City Councilís programme of free central city entertainment.

 

In 1996, while still at Cashmere High School, the three-piece band signed to Warner/Chappell Music Australia. At the time Zed had only ever performed live in front of school audiences. Since being signed, Zed have been working on writing songs and recording. They released their first single in November 1998. Zedís music focuses on tight songs with intelligent lyrics and catchy hooks and melodies. Already they have written over fifty songs.

 

Zed are Nathan King (guitar, lead vocals), Ben Campbell (bass, vocals) and Adrian Palmer (drums, percussion, backing vocals).
