Project Manager appointed to the Jade stadium Redevelopment project at Lancaster Park

Another milestone in the redevelopment of Jade Stadium has been reached with the appointment of Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner to the role of project manager.

Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner’s proposal was one of five submitted from experienced firms of project managers, which the selection panel had to consider.

Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner is in the position to give Christchurch the benefit of experience gained elsewhere having extensive experience in major projects including the new outdoor WestpacTrust stadium in Wellington which is currently under construction.

The project manager will be Christchurch based.

The first task for the newly appointed project manager will be to manage the brief definition phase leading to the preparation of concept designs upon which firm costings can be made to give Council confidence to progress to the next stage.

The programme currently indicates that a report will go forward to the March 1999 round of Council meetings submitting concept designs and the way forward for the project.
