Lunchtime Concert Series
The Christchurch City Council proudly presents the following artists in upcoming free
Cathedral Square Lunchtime Concerts:
Amigos
Friday 4 December, 12.00pm to 1.00pm
A band with an international flavour is on the menu for the lunchtime concert in Cathedral Square on Friday 4 December.
Amigos have been performing original Pacific Latin Dance music for over two years. Their style of music reflects the bands own melting pot of cultures. The blend of Maori, Pacific Island and South American influences is uniquely New Zealand. Unusual instruments such as Samoan slit drums, a South American mandolin (charango) and a Maori flute are combined to create the bands distinctive sound.
Amigos are: Jonathon Harper (guitar, vocals, charngo, flutes), Lisa Shepherd (lead vocals, keyboards, guitar), Don Hickman (bass guitars, vocals), Mark Madle (percussion), Mark Alexander (guitar) and Alexander Rapaport (trumpet).
