PHOTO POSSIBILITY

Crane lifting historic TB HUT for re-siting & renovation and use as information centre.

BACKGROUND:

This is the last surviving hut used for TB sufferers left on the site of the old Coronation Hospital.

It has been donated to the City Council by Fulton Hogan.

The Council Parks Unit will renovate the hut, and use it for a public information centre.

The Huts were designed by prominent architect Samuel Hurst Seager.

WHERE:

The old Coronation Hospital site, Huntsbury. Major Aitken Drive (off Centauraus Road).

WHEN:

Tuesday 17 June midday.
