A meeting of the Joint Christchurch City Council/
Canterbury Regional Council Committee
was held on Thursday 20 October 1999 at 4.00pm

Present:	CANTERBURY REGIONAL COUNCIL: Councillor Valerie Campbell (Chairman), Councillors Sir Kerry Burke, Sir Hamish Hay, Richard Johnson and Judy Waters CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL: Councillors David Close, Pat Harrow, Charles Manning, Sue Wells and Ron Wright.
In Attendance	Councillor Bill Penno.
Apologies:	Apologies for absence were received and accepted from Councillors Anna Crighton, Carole Evans, Diana Shand and Peter Yeoman. Councillors Robert Johnston and Mark Oldfield’s apologies were also recorded. Councillor Close arrived at 4.45pm and was not present for clause 1 and part of clause 2. Condolences: The Chairman referred to the reason for the absence of Councillors Crighton and Shand. It was resolved that a letter of condolence from the Joint Committee be sent to both Councillors Crighton and Shand.
