NOTICES OF MOTION
1. SOUTHPOWER: INCREASE IN ELECTRICITY CHARGES
To consider the following motion, which has been lodged by Councillor Gordon Freeman pursuant to Standing Order 2.16:
"That the Christchurch City Council ask the Southpower Board of Directors to cancel the recently announced 4.9% increase in power charges, on the basis that the removal of the South Island power differential and other increased costs proposed to be covered by the 4.9% increase are absorbed by Southpower."
2. MANAGEMENT OF CONVENTION AND ENTERTAINMENT FACILITIES
To consider the following motion, which has been lodged by Councillor Gordon Freeman pursuant to Standing Order 2.16:
"That the Christchurch City Council, taking into account the pending completion and opening of the Sport and Entertainment Centre, seek an independent review of the management of the Council's convention and entertainment facilities, currently contracted to NCC (NZ) Ltd."
