REPORT OF THE CITY MANAGER
1. STANDING COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP
Councillors Carole Evans and Gail Sheriff have expressed a wish to exchange places on the Community Services and Projects and Property Committees, to allow them to serve on those Committees in which they have the greatest interest.
Recommendation: 1. That Councillor Evans be appointed to the Community Services Committee in place of Councillor Sheriff.
2. That Councillor Sheriff be appointed to the Projects and Property Committee in place of Councillor Evans.
2. APPOINTMENT OF REPLACEMENT COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE
ON AGE CONCERN
The Council previously appointed Councillor David Buist as its representative on Age Concern Canterbury (Inc). As future meetings of Age Concern will be held on a date which clashes with the regular monthly Council meeting, neither Councillor Buist nor any other Councillor will be able to regularly attend future meetings as the Council's representative. Councillor Buist has therefore suggested that Mrs Mary Corbett be appointed in his place as the Council's representative. Mrs Corbett (a former City Councillor) is currently a member of the Riccarton/Wigram Community Board and has previously had some involvement with Age Concern.
Recommendation: That Mrs Mary Corbett be appointed in place of Councillor David Buist as the Council's representative on Age Concern Canterbury (Inc).
3. APPOINTMENT OF REPLACEMENT MEMBER OF
CITY SERVICES COMMITTEE
Councillor Gordon Freeman has submitted his resignation as a member of the City Services Committee.
Recommendation: That another Councillor be appointed to the City Services Committee to fill the vacancy arising from Councillor Freeman's resignation.
