DEPUTATIONS BY APPOINTMENT
| 1. | KIDSAFE WEEK |
KidSafe Week will be launched on Friday 5 September 1997. A key part of KidSafe is the Community Warrant of Fitness, which provides territorial authorities with a checklist of key policies and practices for making communities more `KidSafe'.
Two children will formally present the Community Warrant of Fitness to the Acting Mayor, with a copy to each Councillor.
| 2. | PROMOTION OF TOURISM |
Mr Peter Wakeman will make submissions regarding the roles of the Council and Christchurch International Airport Ltd in the promotion of tourism.
| 3. | CENTENNIAL POOL REDEVELOPMENT |
Submissions will be made by Mr A M Wilkinson, the South Island Manager of Mainzeal Property and Construction Ltd, regarding the recommendation made to the present Council meeting by the Projects and Property Committee that the Council call public tenders for this contract.
