NOTICES OF MOTION 1. CONFIRMATION OF PROCEEDINGS TO MAKE THE

CHRISTCHURCH CITY FIRES AMENDMENT BYLAW 1996 The following resolution should be adopted: "The public notice required by the Local Government Act 1974 having been given in the Christchurch Press newspaper on Monday 4 March and Thursday 14 March 1996 the following resolution passed by way of Special Order at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 28 February 1996 is hereby confirmed:

`That in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Act 1974 and all other powers thereunder enabling the Christchurch City Council makes the Christchurch City Fires Amendment Bylaw 1996 (as per copy attached).'"

2. CONFIRMATION OF PROCEEDINGS TO MAKE THE

CHRISTCHURCH CITY TRAFFIC AND PARKING ALTERATION

BYLAW 1996 The following resolution should be adopted: "The public notice required by the Local Government Act 1974 having been given in the Christchurch Press newspaper on Monday 4 March and Thursday 14 March 1996 the following resolution passed by way of Special Order at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 28 February 1996 is hereby confirmed:

`That in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Act 1974 and the Transport Act 1962, the Christchurch City Council makes the Christchurch City Traffic and Parking Alteration Bylaw 1996 (as per copy attached).'"

3. CONFIRMATION OF PROCEEDINGS

TO CHANGE THE NAME OF HEREFORD PLACE The following resolution should be adopted: "The public notice required by the Local Government Act 1974 having been given in the Christchurch Press newspaper on Monday 4 March and Thursday 14 March 1996 the following resolution passed by way of Special Order at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 28 February 1996 is hereby confirmed:

`That pursuant to the provisions of section 320(1) of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order that the name of the street currently named as "Hereford Place" be changed to "Tramway Lane".'"

4. CONFIRMATION OF PROCEEDINGS

TO FIX TRADE WASTE CHARGES FOR 1995/96 The following resolution should be adopted: "The public notice required by the Local Government Act 1974 having been given in the Christchurch Press newspaper on Monday 4 March and Thursday 14 March 1996 the following resolution passed by way of Special Order at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 28 February 1996 is hereby confirmed:

`That pursuant to the provisions of section 494 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to set trade waste charges for the 1995/96 year effective from 1 April 1996 as follows:

For discharges with volume greater than five cubic metres per day:

Rate of Discharge $/litre/min $36.15

BOD $/kg/day $51.90

Suspended Solids $/kg/day $49.96

Such charges being inclusive of GST.'"

5. COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS TO GRANT EASEMENT

FOR THE LAYING OF A SERVICE TUNNEL UNDER

KOTZIKAS PLACE In accordance with a recommendation contained in the City Services Committee's report to the present meeting, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution: (a) That pursuant to section 338 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to grant United Fisheries Limited an easement for a period of 15 years to lay a 1.5 metre diameter concrete pipe for the provision of gas, water, electricity and communications services under the head of the cul-de-sac at Kotzikas Place, with terms and conditions to be approved by the Property Manager. (b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 24 April 1996, for confirmation by way of Special Order.

6. COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS TO DECLARE

AVONSIDE DRIVE TO BE A LIMITED ACCESS ROAD

BETWEEN HANMER STREET AND TRENT STREET In accordance with a recommendation contained in the Hagley/Ferrymead Community Board's report to the present meeting, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution: (a) That the Christchurch City Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the City of Christchurch, thereby resolves by way of Special Order and pusuant to the provisions of section 346 of the Local Government Act 1974 to declare that part of Avonside Drive between Hanmer Street and Linwood Avenue to be a limited access road, as more particularly shown on Plan D4866 Sheet 2 and the accompanying schedule (attached). (b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 24 April 1996 for confirmation by way of Special Order.
