1. CONFIRMATION OF PROCEEDINGS TO CHANGE NAME OF
PORTION OF INWOODS ROAD
The following resolution should be adopted:
"The public notice required by the Local Government Act 1974 having been given in the Christchurch Press newspaper on Friday 28 June and Thursday 11 July 1996, the following resolution passed by way of Special Order at a meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 26 June 1996 is hereby confirmed: That pursuant to the provisions of section 321 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order that the section of Inwoods Road north of Broadhaven Avenue be renamed as "Inwoods Close"." 2. CONFIRMATION OF PROCEEDINGS TO MAKE THE
CHRISTCHURCH CITY TRAFFIC AND PARKING ALTERATION
BYLAW (NO 2) 1996
The following resolution should be adopted:
"The public notice required by the Local Government Act 1974 having been given in the Christchurch Press newspaper on Friday 28 June and Thursday 11 July 1996, the following resolution passed by way of Special Order at a meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 26 June 1996 is hereby confirmed: That in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Act 1974 and the Transport Act 1962, the Christchurch City Council makes the Christchurch City Traffic and Parking Alteration Bylaw (No 2) 1996 (as per copy attached)." 3. COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS TO INTRODUCE
ADDITIONAL RESOURCE CONSENT FEES
In accordance with a recommendation contained in the Environmental Committee's report to the present meeting, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution:
(a) That pursuant to Section 36 of the Resource Management Act, the Council, by Special Order, adds the charges set out below to the list of additional fees payable by applicants when a hearing is involved in a resource consent application.

4. COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS TO MAKE THE
CHRISTCHURCH CITY (ALTERATION OF TITLES)
BYLAW 1996
The Legal Services Manager advises that owing to the change in titles of a number of positions in the Council it is necessary to alter the description of those positions in the Council's bylaws.
Attached is a proposed bylaw which alters various bylaws administered by the Council so as to reflect the current staffing titles.
The proposed bylaw does not alter any other provisions of the Council's bylaws.
The Council is therefore requested to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution:
(a) That in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Act 1974, the Transport Act 1972 and the Health Act 1956, the Christchurch City Council makes the Christchurch City (Alteration of Titles) Bylaw 1996 (as per copy attached).
(b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 28 August 1996, for confirmation by way of Special Order.
5. COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS TO CHANGE NAME OF
ALLIANCE PLACE TO GERALD CONNOLLY PLACE
In accordance with a recommendation made by the Riccarton/Wigram Community Board, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution:
(a) That pursuant to the provisions of section 321 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order that the cul-de-sac off Waterloo Road presently named as "Alliance Place" be renamed as "Gerald Connolly Place".
(b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 28 August 1996, for confirmation by way of Special Order.
