MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD AT 2.00 P.M. ON FRIDAY 16 FEBRUARY 1996 PRESENT: The Mayor, Ms Vicki Buck (Chairperson).
Councillors Oscar Alpers, Carole Anderton, Graham Berry, David Buist,
David Close, Graham Condon, David Cox, Anna Crighton, Newton Dodge,
Morgan Fahey, Gordon Freeman, Ishwar Ganda, Pat Harrow, Ian Howell,
Alister James, Garry Moore, Margaret Murray, Denis O'Rourke, Gail Sheriff
and Ron Wright. APOLOGIES: An apology for absence was received and accepted from Councillor Charles Manning. ABSENT: Councillors Carole Evans, Lesley Keast and Barbara Stewart entered the meeting following the exclusion of the public.
REPORT OF THE PROJECTS AND PROPERTY COMMITTEE

Seconded by Cr O'Rourke That the report of the Projects and Property Committee be received. (1) Resolution to Exclude the Public Received. Clause received. Report received.
RESOLUTION TO EXCLUDE THE PUBLIC
The Mayor moved: "1. That the draft resolution to exclude the public as set out on the pink sheet attached to the agenda be adopted.
2. That the following persons be permitted to remain at the meeting during consideration of the public excluded item of business because of their specialist knowledge of and/or involvement in the negotiations regarding the venue management contract for the Council's convention and entertainment facilities:

The motion was seconded by Councillor O'Rourke and when put to the meeting was declared carried.
