Garry Moore and Denis O'Rourke. IN ATTENDANCE: Councillor David Buist,

Mrs Pansy Wong, Chairperson, Town Hall Subcommittee

and Mr Peter Rainsford, KPMG Peat Marwick.

APOLOGY: An apology for absence was received and

accepted from Councillor Carole Anderton. The Mayor left the meeting at 6.30 p.m. and was

not present when the recommendations in clause 2

were finally adopted. The Committee reports that: PART B - ITEMS DEALT WITH BY THE SUBCOMMITTEE AND

1. RESOLUTION TO EXCLUDE THE PUBLIC The Committee resolved: 1. That the draft resolution to exclude the public set out on page 3 of the agenda be adopted. 2. That the following persons be permitted to remain at the meeting during consideration of the public excluded item of business because of their specialist knowledge of the negotiations regarding the venue management contract for the Council's convention and entertainment facilities: * Mrs Pansy Wong, Chairperson, Town Hall Subcommittee
