NOTICES OF MOTION
1. CHRISTCHURCH CITY FIRES AMENDMENT BYLAW 1996 In accordance with a recommendation contained in the Environmental Committee's report to the present meeting, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution: (a) That in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Act 1974 and all other powers thereunder enabling the Christchurch City Council makes the Christchurch City Fires Amendment Bylaw 1996 (as per copy attached - green paper). (b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 27 March 1996, for confirmation by way of Special Order.
2. COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS
TO CHANGE THE NAME OF HEREFORD PLACE In accordance with a resolution adopted by the Council at its meeting on 20 September 1995, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution: (a) That pursuant to the provisions of section 320(1) of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order that the name of the street currently named as "Hereford Place" be changed to "Tramway Lane". (b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 27 March 1996, for confirmation by way of Special Order.
3. COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS
TO FIX TRADE WASTE CHARGES FOR 1995/96 In accordance with a resolution adopted by the Council at its meeting on 13 December 1995, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution: (a) That pursuant to the provisions of section 494 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to set trade waste charges for the 1995/96 year effective from 1 April 1996 as follows: For discharges with volume greater than five cubic metres per day: Rate of Discharge $/litre/min $36.15
BOD $/kg/day $51.90
Suspended Solids $/kg/day $49.96 Such charges being inclusive of GST. 3 Cont'd (b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 27 March 1996, for confirmation by way of Special Order.
4. CHRISTCHURCH CITY TRAFFIC AND PARKING ALTERATION
BYLAW 1996 In accordance with a resolution adopted by the Council at its meeting on 13 December 1995, to consider and if thought fit to adopt the following resolution: (a) That in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Act 1974 and the Transport Act 1962, the Christchurch City Council makes the Christchurch City Traffic and Parking Alteration Bylaw 1996 (as per copy attached - buff paper). (b) That the Council Secretary be authorised to give public notice that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday 27 March 1996, for confirmation by way of Special Order.
