The Beckenham Service Centre is located at 66 Colombo Street — on the corner of Colombo Street and Hunter Terrace.
The Service Centre, one of six throughout the city, is set up to deliver a range of Council public services to residents of Christchurch and visitors. The Service Centre also provides a support base for the Spreydon-Heathcote Community Board, local residents’ groups and community centres.
The Service Centre is open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, except for statutory holidays.
Services available include:
- Counter services, including general enquiries and receipting of payments to the Council, e.g. rates, dog registration, parking fines.
- Information and advice on by-laws, parks, roading and traffic related matters.
- Conference room hire (video/tv, flipchart, electronic whiteboard, overhead projector and screen, and tea and coffee facilities).
- Advisory services covering community activities and facilities, sport, recreation and funding. Contact your Spreydon-Heathcote Community Advocacy Team.
