Some Shirley/Papanui issues to think about . . .

Current and future issues in the Shirley/Papanui area include:

• Styx River - the Styx Basin Reserve is gradually being developed into a wonderful walkway and picnic place.
  
  Further interesting developments for access from the Styx basin to the sea are being looked at.



• Papanui Community Facility - the Community Board initiated a Needs Analysis to gather information on facilities already in Papanui and what new facilities were needed.
  
  This information shows a need and a desire by many people and organisations for a facility in central Papanui.
  
  Further discussion with the community is required and the Board will be seeking community input into this proposal.
