The Papanui Advocacy Team
The Papanui Advocacy Team, is (from left) Sharon Ogden, Jo Maraki, Barbara Ford, Alister Whitteker, Tanya Ewins and Bruce Meder.

The Papanui Service Centre is housed with the Papanui Library at the corner of Langdons Road and Restell Street, with short-term parking at the front door and a car park at the rear of the building accessed from Restell Street.

Services available at the Service Centre include:

  • Information and advice on bylaws, parks, roading and traffic related matters.
  • Advisory services covering community activities and facilities, sport, recreation and funding.
  • Information and access to Shirley/Papanui Community Board.

Shirley/papanui Advocacy Team

The Shirley/Papanui Advocacy Team, located in the Library Service Centre building in Papanui, are the Council staff who work with the Community Board, and are available to assist residents with any community and council issues.

Contact can be made by phone (352 8117), calling in at the Service Centre (opposite Northlands Mall on Langdons Road), or inviting team members to your meetings, places, etc.

The team is made up of a Community Advocate, Community Secretary, Community Development Adviser, Community Technical Adviser, Community Recreation Adviser, Secretarial Services Officer and Advocacy Assistant.

Want To Hire The Boardroom?

The Board Room (accessed from the car park at the rear of the building) is available, by arrangement, for use by locally-based community groups and organisations. Facilities available for use include overhead projector and screen, TV and video, electronic whiteboard, flipchart and tea/coffee making facilities.
