Out of school care and recreation

Out of school care and recreation programmes are provided by professional staff that offer the children a selection of activities.

They help children find something constructive to do with their spare time in a friendly and non-threatening environment.

They aim at providing children with a well-rounded programme that includes arts and craft activities, outings and physical activities.

Holiday Programmes

Holiday programmes run from a variety of venues throughout the Hagley Ferrymead ward area and cater for children from 5-15 years of age. Adventure programmes are available for youth 11-15 years of age.

After School Programmes

There are a number of after school programmes operating in the Hagley Ferrymead ward area. They are not totally council managed or funded.

After school programmes are operating at the moment in these areas East Christchurch,Woolston, Phillipstown, Linwood, Bromley, Sumner and Richmond.
