Progress on big metropolitan projects . . .

QEII Pool Redevelopment
The major redevelopment of the QEII swimming pools is expected to be finished in April 2002.

This month should see the completion of the dive pool area, new entry, lift and changing facilities.

Woolston/Burwood Expressway
The opening of the Expressway bridge over the Avon River is a major milestone in the project, which will complete the ring road system.

The new bridge connects ANZAC Drive/New Brighton Road with Avondale/Bexley.
