How to have input to Board/Council
The Community Board and the Advocacy Team are here to represent and advise you on Christchurch City Council matters.
Many opportunities exist to have input or raise issues for consideration, whether as an individual or as a residents’ Association or a community group.
Consider:
- Making a deputation to the monthly Board meeting, by appointment prior to the meeting.
- Attending consultation meetings arranged by the Board or Council staff on specific matters or funding processes.
- Responding to Council surveys.
- Organising a petition requesting action on an issue.
- Contacting an individual Board member or the Advocacy Team to express your view or to seek assistance.
Whether you are directly affected by a proposal or a member of the "silent majority", your views are welcome.
