Four Council-owned community facilities in area Four different Council-owned community facilities are in the Fendalton-Waimairi area. They offer a variety of different sized halls and meeting rooms, which can be hired. They are: Avice Hill Arts and Crafts Centre, 395 Memorial Avenue (bookings-programme information: 351 7109). Bishopdale Community Centre, Bishopdale Mall, Farrington Avenue (359 8330). Fendalton Hall, 170 Clyde Road (351 7109). Harewood Hall, 727 Harewood Road (359 9050). There are about 34 other community facilities, such as local school halls, churches and such like that are also available for community use. For more information contact the Fendalton Advocacy Team on 351 7109. Two sport and recreation centres are in the Fendalton-Waimairi area. They are the Bryndwr YMCA at 286 Greers Road (359 6647) and the Jellie Park Aqualand, 295 Ilam Road (351 7055). |
