A new look for City Council newsletter
This issue of Christchurch City Scene, the Council’s newsletter for residents, is the last in its current format. Before Christmas, households throughout Christchurch and Banks Peninsula will receive the new-look publication in a more magazine-style format.
The revised publication comes after Council proposed changes to City Scene during consultation on the 2006-16 community plan. The changes are aimed at finding ways to communicate more effectively with citizens within current budgets, particularly with the recent addition of Banks Peninsula to the district. The new design and frequency will also help provide residents with more comprehensive coverage of the major events and festivals supported by Council, from SummerTimes and TV2 Kidsfest through to the Christchurch Arts Festival and Cup and Show Week, for example.
Council will also be introducing a wider range of media to keep residents informed and to provide ways for people to interact and engage with Council over city-wide and local issues. |
