Peninsula election results

Banks Peninsula Mayor Bob Parker gives up his role this week with the merger of his district into Christchurch City and will be formally sworn in as a City Councillor on 9 March.

Mr Parker's election, along with the members of the city's two new community boards representing the peninsula, will be formally declared by public notice this weekend.

The preliminary results were announced by Electoral Officer Max Robertson last weekend.

The City Councillor from Banks Peninsula Ward is Bob Parker.

The members of the Lyttelton-Mt Herbert Community Board are Jeremy Agar, Stuart Bould, Ann Jolliffe, Dawn Te Riaki Kottier and Claudia Reid.

Members of the Akaroa-Wairewa Community Board are Steve Lowndes, Winston McKean, Stewart Miller, Bryan Morgan and Eric Ryder.

Mr Parker will be sworn in as a City Councillor at the Council's regular Thursday meeting on 9 March. These meetings, in the chambers on the ground floor of the Civic Offices on Tuam Street, begin at 9.30am.

The Lyttelton-Mt Herbert Community Board's inaugural meeting, and the members' swearing in, begins at 9.30am on Wednesday, 15 March in the Lyttelton Recreation Centre.

The Akaroa-Wairewa Community Board's inaugural meeting, and the swearing in of its members, begins at 9.30am on Friday, 17 March in the Gaiety Hall in Akaroa.
