Ice odyssey a first
March of the Penguins, a National Geographic documentary about the remarkable migration of Emperor penguins, will have its New Zealand premiere in Christchurch on 18 March at the Regent on Worcester. The movie was previewed on the big screen at last month's ASB Starry Nights show in Hagley Park.
The film showing is being held to mark the close of the Antarctic summer season and screens as a fundraiser for the Antarctic Heritage Trust, whose members are doing restoration work on the Scott and Shackleton huts. The movie is being brought to Christchurch by Antarctica Link, organisers of the City Council-supported Christchurch Antarctic Festival.
