Culture Galore on Saturday, 18 March
Dance to the beat of a different drum and celebrate the colourful cultural diversity of our community. Join us on Saturday, 18 March (from midday-4pm) at Ray Blank Park for this year's Culture Galore festival. This free event showcases the music, dance, ethnic food, and arts and crafts of more than 50 cultures, from Asia to Zimbabwe.
On the main stage there will be performances from all over the world — Middle Eastern belly dance, traditional dance from India, Malaysia, Greece, Bangladesh, Fiji, China, Romania, Russia and kapa haka.
Have a go at activities such as flax weaving or Maori soap carving, sample some of the amazing ethnic cuisines, or check out the exhibition of children's games from around the world.
Culture Galore is part of SummerTimes, brought to you by the City Council and its Fendalton-Waimairi and Riccarton-Wigram community boards.
