QEII Park for Everyone

Made famous by the 1974 Commonwealth Games, QEII is an impressive multi-sport and leisure complex which features Australasia’s largest aquatic facility and caters for everything from family recreation to elite sport.With five state-of-the-art water slides, a 40m wave pool, a spiralling lazy river, spa and sauna, QEII is a brilliant day out for the whole family.

The park’s themed leisure pool, which opened in August 2002, is an unrivalled water fantasy world. As well, there is a 30m dive pool and a 10-lane 50m Olympic-size pool, perfect for competitive swimming. For the recreational swimmer there is also a 25m teaching pool.

QEII runs many programmes, including learn to swim (Swim Smart), school swim lessons, Pilates, yoga (including pregnancy yoga), tai  chi, gentle exercise, aquacise, jazz dance and hip hop.

As well, QEII houses a modern fitness centre and aerobic studio, a three-court indoor stadium with sprung wooden floor and squash courts.

Outside is the athletics stadium, which can hold up to 20,000 people and is available for hire.
