Train to be a lifeguard

Are you looking for a great job? City Council lifeguards enjoy flexi-hours, free training, a supportive team environment and access to health and fitness facilities.

The Council’s recruiting lifeguards now for the summer season. This is an opportunity for people to develop new skills and experiences through this training and employment programme.

To apply, you need to have a current first aid certificate, be a competent swimmer and posses a can-do attitude. We are looking for practical, mature individuals who can deal effectively with people and are willing to develop new skills.

A current National Pool Lifeguard award is desirable but not required. We will provide successful applicants with the necessary training, and upon satisfactory completion, a rewarding job at the Christchurch City council awaits you.

  • Apply online at www.jobs.ccc.govt.nz or phone or text Annemarie RobinsonBell on 941 7080 or 025 220 7247
