Rick Armstrong renews for Classical Sparks
Christchurch residents’ favourite event in the SummerTimes Festival is safe in the hands of Rick Armstrong Motors, which has signed on as Classical Sparks’ naming sponsor for another three years.
This massive concert, staged in Hagley Park each March, has been run for 20 years and Rick Armstrong Motors has been a staunch supporter since 2000.
The concert features the Christchurch Symphony and this summer’s programme is shaping up to be another memorable one.
The guest artists include mezzo soprano Anne Lamont-Low, violinist Natalia Lomeiko and the New Zealand Army Band, which, along with fireworks, the bells of Christ Church Cathedral and cannons, will accompany the Christchurch Symphony in the traditional finale, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
