NZ Cup and Show Week: 4-12 Nov

New Zealand Cup and Show Week kicks off early next month, bringing together racing, fashion, food and local lifestyles in an atmosphere of high action, high energy and high stakes.

The festival, previously Showtime Canterbury, runs from Friday 4 November to Saturday 12 November and includes the Canterbury Fashion Collections and Awards, Meridian Energy Fireworks, numerous racing events at the Addington and Riccarton raceways, and the Canterbury A&P Show.

And for one lucky person, the experience won’t end there. On Tuesday, 1 November, a draw will be made for a prize package worth more than $2500. The winner and three friends will enjoy some of the best the city and surrounds has to offer. The entry form is on-line, through a link on the www.nzcupandshow.co.nz website.

The Experience Canterbury in Style competition has been organised by the City Council, along with the groups directly associated with the festival and several local Christchurch businesses.

Included is a helicopter ride for four over the Port Hills to Akaroa and dinner at French Farm Wineries, a tour of Lyttelton Harbour on the Lyttleton Blackcat, touring Christchurch with Crown Limousines, rides on the Christchurch Gondola and Tram, Punting on the Park, dinner for four at Christchurch Casino and tickets to the festival events — the Canterbury A&P Show, New Zealand Trotting Cup Day, the Canterbury Fashion Collections and Awards and New Zealand Cup Day.
