Kapuatohe Historic Reserve Open Day, 9 October, 1-4pm
Kapuatohe Open Day is a chance for the public to sample some of Canterbury's history. The two-storeyed school house built in 1877, workman's cottage and museum are the only remaining buildings associated with the school which was once on site. Restoration began in the 1970s and in 1982 Kapuatohe was declared a historic reserve, retaining much of its original appearance today. So come and enjoy Kapuatohe Historic Reserve during Heritage Week.
