Improved metro bus services hit the road

Thirteen improved metro bus services got under way in the north and south of Christchurch last month, reducing waiting and travelling times.

East and west routes that travel through the central city have also been altered to reduce delays due to traffic congestion. A new terminus in Hagley Avenue, opposite Christchurch Hospital, has replaced the Riverside terminus on Rolleston Avenue. North and south services will be more direct with route names and numbers simplified.

New timetables and metromaps are available from the Bus Exchange and the metroinfo call centre.

Metroinfo is available 6.30am – 10.30pm Monday to Saturday and Sundays 9am-9pm on 366 8855.

Information about the new services is available at www.metroinfo.org.nz/
