Canty Investor Network The CDC recently launched the Canterbury Investor Network, an initiative that will assist local companies to access equity capital, by giving local firms the opportunity to present their business case to potential investors. Christchurch Mayor Garry Moore launched the concept to 80 of Canterbury’s top business people on 28 May. The meeting was extremely successful, gaining widespread support from the investor community. The Canterbury Investor Network will meet every three months, with the first meeting confirmed for 18 August 2004.
