Christmas Book Sale

Christchurch City Libraries’ annual Book Sale has been moved to December this year — perfect timing for that extra Christmas present. “Usually the sale’s held around September, but with a lot of resources being diverted due to the opening of South Christchurch Library, we’ve decided to move the sale to December,” says Lindsay Dell, the Christchurch City Libraries Book Sale Coordinator.

The sale will be held on Friday 5 December, 9am to 9pm, and Saturday 6 December, 9am to 4pm at Pioneer Stadium in Lyttelton St. The Book Sale was held there last year for the first time. The venue was a success and had bargain hunters lining up at 6.30am for the opening. They had over 36,000 books to choose from.
