Top home water users
High users of water in the eastern and north-eastern suburbs of Christchurch have been targeted by the Council as part of its Waterwise campaign to encourage people to use less water and protect the water supply. The heaviest users were sent letters advising them that their consumption was high compared with the city’s average. The Council’s technical services arranged visits to help identify leaks and replace some old, inefficient meters. There is a plan to contact high users in other parts of the city at a later date. |
