Board supports park

There is always plenty for the family to see and do at Orana Wildlife Park, New Zealands largest wildlife and conservation centre. Scheduled animal feeds, encounters and keeper talks occur throughout the day, every day.

Adults and children alike enjoy getting up close with many of the rare and endangered animals. Of particular interest are the numerous young animals, including a spider monkey, ringtailed lemur, giraffe calf and five lion cubs.

Visitors to the park can hand-feed the majestic giraffe, meet the massive rhino face to face, watch the mighty lions devour their food, marvel at the cheetah, and much more. Our childrens farmyard enables youngsters to pat a range of domestic animals such as lambs and calves.

People are encouraged to visit the New Zealand native section to see and learn about New Zealandfs own rare and unique fauna, including kiwi, kea and tuatara, an ancient relic of the dinosaur era.

Orana Wildlife Park staff gratefully acknowledge the Fendalton/Waimairi Community Board for their generous support of our sealed path project. Its assistance has enabled staff to complete another stage of sealed pathways around the park.
