Our plan, your opinions
Almost 700 submissions have been received
from Christchurch residents and organisations
about the draft Annual Plan. Of those, almost half
were provided on forms printed in the May issue
of City Scene and about 230 were sent in via the
Internet or email. Late last month the City Councillors began a
series of meetings at which people were given an
opportunity to back up their submissions in
person. About 130 submitters told the Council
they wanted to speak at these meetings, which
ran from June 24 to 1 July. After listening to
people’s ideas and holding meetings at which its
proposals will be modified, the City Council will
meet to adopt the plan on 16 July. |
