‘Friends’ sought for cemetery 
People who want to be involved in the care and preservation of Linwood Cemetery, in Butterfield Avenue and McGregors Road, can register their interest with Hagley-Ferrymead Community Board. Recently the cemetery was given a spring clean as part of World Clean Up Week. Already schools and community groups expressed interest in being involved in the future of the cemetery when submissions were heard on the board's capital works process. Vandalism has been a problem in the cemetery and the community has indicated it wants to help with its future care.  The contact is Eleanor Bodger on ph 389 2202.
