Pets deserve Christmas too The best Christmas present you can give your pets is loving care over the holiday period. All pets need shelter, water, food and human contact. Shelter and water are particularly important during hot weather. If you are going away, ask your vet to recommend boarding kennels and cateries - and book ahead. If friends have offered to look after your pets, are you sure that they are reliable and know what pet care involves? If you want to take your dog or cat with you, will he/she cope with the travel and are animals allowed at your destination? If you are worried about your animals, or someone else's, contact a vet, Christchurch City Council Animal Control or the RSPCA. |
