City Scene - Christchurch City Council Newsletter - March 1996
The City Council-funded initiative Businesslink Canterbury is continuing to prove successful for local businesses listed on, or using, the system.
An example is a local manufacturer who used the free service to identify local businesses that laser cut sheetmetal, says marketing assistant Sarah Connor. Businesses specifying laser cutting as a service or a special facility were found and put forward as potential suppliers. As a result, a purchase was made to the value of $13,000.
Businesslink is a computerised system holding detailed and extensive information about products and services from more than 3,800 Canterbury businesses - and the number's growing. For more information please phone: 379-5575.
